Swissport opens air cargo warehouse at Halifax Airport in Canada

Aviation services company Swissport has opened a new air cargo warehouse at Halifax Stanfield International Airport in Nova Scotia, Canada.
The new facility is Swissport’s sixth freight site in Canada. The opening of the 370 m² warehouse at Halifax Airport will also allow the company to strengthen its cargo handling and logistics capabilities.
According to the company, Swissport’s freight volumes in Canada have jumped 35% from 2019 figures.

Notably, the new air cargo facility at Halifax Stanfield Airport is Swissport’s third cargo site to open in six months.
The two previous warehouses were opened at Montreal-Mirabel International Airport and Edmonton International Airport.
Montreal-Mirabel International Airport air cargo warehouse covers an area of ââ500 m² while Edmonton International Airport freight facility covers 1,000 m² with possibility of expansion.
