But first, our top story tonight. . .

District Fire Department Public Information Officer Kay McKellar said the heat press is used to make posters and similar items. Jeremy Freeman of Eureka was about half a mile below Colchuck Lake when he called for help Monday shortly after 7 p.m.
A volunteer Chelan County search and rescue team responded on foot and used a litter box to transport Freeman about 3.5 miles to the trailhead, which they reached around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday. Freeman was transported to Cascade Medical Center in Leavenworth.
A gravel spill on Highway 2 in Cashmere blocked both westbound lanes for about an hour on Tuesday afternoon. Washington State Patroller John Bryant said about 20 meters of gravel was dumped on the highway just after 1 p.m.

Coming soon, the State Department of Health said it will focus its vaccination efforts more on areas of the state where vax rates remain low. / The Chelan-Douglas Health District (CDHD) will offer a upcoming COVID-19 vaccination clinic on Saturday June 26e, and, saying she has ties to ecoterrorism, U.S. Representative Dan Newhouse called on President Biden to quash Tracy Stone-Manning’s appointment as head of the Bureau of Land Management. I’m Grant Olson and you watch the NCWLIFE evening news.
Welcome back, and in other news. . .
Washington is heading for a full reopening at the end of the month, Health Secretary Umair Shah said this morning his department would focus more efforts on areas of the state where vaccination rates remain low rather than a statewide percentage target.
The state as a whole makes up 68 percent of the vaccinated population, but Chelan County is at around 55 percent and Douglas County is still below 50 percent. . .
The Chelan-Douglas Health District (CDHD) will be offering an upcoming COVID-19 vaccination clinic on Saturday, June 26.
The CDHD will administer the Johnson & Johnson single dose vaccine to anyone 18 years of age and older at the District Health Office at 200 Valley Mall Parkway in East Wenatchee. Pre-registration is not required and walk-in visits are welcome. For more information, visit www.cdhd.wa.gov. A similar clinic was held earlier today in Wenatchee at the Chamber of Commerce Job Fair.
Claiming to have ties to ecoterrorism, U.S. Representative Dan Newhouse called on President Biden to quash the appointment of Tracy Stone-Manning as head of the Bureau of Land Management.
Since his appointment by Biden, several news sources have reported on a crude letter Stone-Manning sent to federal officials in 1989, warning that spikes had been inserted into trees in an Idaho forest in the United States. goal of stopping a logging project. Nailing trees involves inserting stems into the trunks, which makes them extremely dangerous to cut.
Newhouse said his appointment sends a distressing CITATION signal to rural communities. Former BLM director Bob Abbey, who served under President Obama, said Stone-Manning’s involvement in the tree-hanging incident should disqualify her from her post.
