LEAVE CONCESSIONS: Agents benefit from generous leave. Staff are entitled to 60 days of annual leave and 20 days of occasional leave. You can also accumulate 30 days of leave in a year which you can cash out upon retirement. The accumulation of leave has a limit which is stipulated periodically.

To note:
(a) Applicants other than the Merchant Navy will be inducted into the rank of Second Lieutenant. Merchant Navy Applicants who hold a Certificate of Proficiency from Government of India, Ministry of Merchant Shipping and Transport (Go Abroad) as Second, Officer or Captain, will be inducted as acting lieutenant.
(b) Extended NOC officers (general / executive and hydro) will undergo 44 weeks training at Ezhimala Naval Academy, followed by professional training on navy ships and training institutions in accordance with the regulation of the scope.
(c) Officers of the regular NOC (all branches) will follow a 22-week naval orientation course.
(d) Only unmarried applicants are eligible for training. Any candidate who turns out to be married or gets married during his training will be removed from his post and will be required to reimburse all the remuneration and allowances he has drawn as well as other expenses incurred for the candidate by the government. .
(e) If the manager voluntarily withdraws from initial training or resigns during the
trial period, he will be required to reimburse the cost of the training in whole or in part, as may be determined by the government. & all money received by him / her as salary and allowances from the government. as well as interest on said money calculated at the rate in effect for government loans.
(f) Candidates who fail to qualify for flight training (pilot / observers) will not be retained in service.

Indian Naval Officer SSC 2021 probation period
The probationary period for officers of all branches / executives is two years. The probationary period will begin from the date of award of the Sub Lt / Ag Lt rank and will end after two years or upon completion of initial training (whichever is later). While on probation, officers are liable to be terminated for unsatisfactory performance at any stage.

Selected candidates will be granted a short-term service commission initially for 10 years, extendable by a maximum of 04 years in 02 terms (02 years + 02 years), subject to service requirements, performance, medical eligibility and will of applicants.
