“McGrath Realty Inc. is proud to welcome Amazon to its brand new Hudson Valley location,” the company wrote on Facebook this week. “McGrath and their agents were instrumental in structuring the transaction and represented both the buyer and the seller in this recent transaction.”
In November 2020, the Hudson Valley Post reported that Amazon wanted to build a more than 600,000 square foot warehouse on IBM’s former West Campus in East Fishkill, which officials say will revitalize a site that has been vacant for more than 15 years.
Dutchess County Director Marc Molinar believes IBM’s former West Campus in East Fishkill is the perfect fit for Amazon.
Last month, the City of East Fishkill Board of Directors approved the 631,000 square foot warehouse to be built by Amazon on IBM’s former West Campus. When complete, Amazon will create at least 500 full-time jobs and up to 700 part-time positions. Construction will lead to approximately 400 temporary positions.
“The former IBM West campus includes over 124 acres and 500,000 (square feet) of existing space in East Fishkill. Amazon is set to redevelop the site into a state-of-the-art 631,000 square foot distribution center. They plan to complete construction in June 2022. This development promises to create more than 500 new jobs in Dutchess County, ”added McGrath Realty.
