“In July and August we expect 30% more passengers than in June, which means around 220,000 passengers in July and the same number in August. This year will surely be a record year, around 15-20% more than in 2019,” Skelin said. underline.
When asked if there were any flight cancellations as some airlines had problems due to a lack of manpower, Skelin said Zadar airport had no such problems.
“All over Europe there is a problem of labor shortage due to the fact that they have laid off several people. It is difficult to bring them back. The schooling lasts quite a long time, 2 to 4 months”, said Skelin and spoke about when there might be problems during the summer, and when we expect a better situation.
“Our main carrier is Ryanair with 75% of total activity and it has no cancellations at this time,” he added.
He confirmed that tenders for seasonal jobs at the airport are still open.
